July 18 KRWG Benefit Concert-Hard Road Trio

Steve Smith and Hard Road

On July 18, enjoy an evening of an original southwestern acoustic blend of American and Bluegrass music from the wide-open spaces of New Mexico.

Mandolinist Steve Smith, bassist Anne Luna and guitarist/vocalist Chris Sanders form The Hard Road Trio. The Trio is even greater than the sum of these parts: perfect harmonies, stunning mandolin playing and award-winning song writing.

Special groups and guests will include Kitty Star & the Whereabouts (Beth Mead banjo and vocals, Anne Luna bass and vocals, Chris Sanders guitar and vocals) plus The Squirrel Hunters (Tim May guitar, Nate Lee fiddle, and Steve Smith mandolin).  Tim May and Nate Lee join the Trio from Nashville and Beth Mead comes to Las Cruces from Philadelphia – all aiming for an exciting evening of great contemporary and traditional music.

Join us July 18 for the KRWG-FM Benefit Concert at the Rio Grande Theatre, 211 North Main Street, Las Cruces.  Tickets will be available June 22nd at the Cutter Gallery at the corner of El Paseo and University, the KRWG offices in Milton Hall on the NMSU campus and online at http://www.riograndetheatre.com/month.  (Adults: $15 in advance/$20 at the door, 12 & under $7.50 in advance/$10 at the door.)  You can also call 575-646-2222 for tickets and reservations as well.
