Cherokee Sullinger

Host, KRWG-FM's Intermezzo

Cherokee Sullinger grew up surrounded by classical music. Because both her mother and her father are classically trained musicians who played with the Mexico City Philharmonic when she was a child, Cherokee was exposed to weekly concerts with music by all the great composers, from Beethoven and Schubert to Revueltas and Stravinsky- her favorite. Having been raised with a true love for music of all kinds, Cherokee's aim is to bring something different to each airing of Intermezzo, keeping her listeners on their toes and on occasion pushing them out of their comfort zones as lovers of classical music. She is currently studying full time at NMSU, focusing on English, and plays violin with the NMSU Philharmonic.
