13th Annual Bubble Fest at Bottomless Lakes State Park September 3-4, 2016

  Bottomless Lakes State Park is pleased to announce the 13th Annual Bottomless Lakes Bubble Fest to be held Labor Day weekend, September 3rd through September 4th 2016.  

This is an event designed for the scuba diving enthusiast.  The event will include fun activities such as:

Ø  “Dive Poker” This is an underwater card game where divers will search for cards scattered across the bottom of Lea Lake.  The best (5) card poker hand will take the prize to be awarded on Sunday, September 4th at 1:00 p.m. at the campground group shelter.  Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place.   

Ø  Scuba dive the 90 ft. depths of Lea Lake.  Search for the springs that are producing over (5) million gallons of water daily.  Spot threatened fish species such as the Pecos Pupfish and Mexican Tetra.  How many turtle species can you find?

Ø  Relax between dives on the sandy Lea Lake beach or enjoy a volleyball game on the sand volleyball courts.

Ø  Rent a pedal boat or paddle board to explore the surface of Lea Lake.

Ø   “Enchanted Evenings” Come join us at the historic Lea Lake pavilion Saturday night, September 3rd at 8:00 p.m. for a scuba diving-related program.
