15 Arrested In Connection To Las Cruces Drug Trafficking

Fifteen people are facing state and federal drug charges after a months-long drug-trafficking investigation in the Las Cruces area.

The Las Cruces Sun-News reports that according to New Mexico State Police, the three-month investigation targeted several groups selling various drugs, including marijuana and methamphetamine, in the Las Cruces area.

Officials say the operation resulted in the seizure of pounds of methamphetamine and about 5 ounces of crack cocaine as well as various quantities of heroin, marijuana and powder cocaine.

The 15 suspects are facing charges including distribution of marijuana, trafficking a controlled substance and various counts of conspiracy and firearms charges. Additional arrests and charges are still pending.
