200 Unclaimed Items From Burglaries

As of Thursday, 52 pieces of evidence recovered from a string of burglaries in Doña Ana and the East Mesa had been returned to the rightful owners, but more than 200 items remain unclaimed at the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s investigators can return the evidence if victims can properly identify the items.  Included are almost two dozen tools, 45 pieces of jewelry, 18 knives, eight firearms, 30 pieces of miscellaneous firearms accessories, 23 pieces of clothing (men and women’s) as well as dozens of CDs and DVDs, miscellaneous electronics, ammunition, purses, wallets, phone accessories and computer equipment.

The inventoried evidence was part of an investigation into at least seven burglaries that took place since January of this year. On March 12, 2014, investigators arrested three people in the case: Faith Elizabeth Clark, 50, and her two sons, Richard Clark, 30, and Justin Eric Clark, 21.

Anyone who suspects their property might be included can call the Doña Ana County Sheriff’s Office at (575) 525-8807.
