ABQ Crime Stoppers Leader Arrested

The chairman of Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated drunken driving after he was involved in a minor traffic accident.

35-year-old Pat Davis was arrested early Saturday after his vehicle rear-ended another vehicle and he failed field sobriety tests.

David had a blood-alcohol concentration that was higher than 0.16, twice the state's presumed level of intoxication.

Davis says he couldn't comment on the specifics of the arrest due to the pending case, but says he cooperated with the officer who made the stop and was sorry for those he disappointed.

He tells the Journal that he hopes the arrest will not detract from the work done by the organizations he's involved in.
