A power outage near downtown Albuquerque created extra problems for Presbyterian Hospital.
Officials say the hospital's electrical system failed Saturday when transferring to its backup generators.
Hospital officials say patient care was not affected but the hospital's switchboard went down. The hospital will not be able to receive power from the grid for 24 hours.
No new patients will be admitted until the problem is resolved.
The outage knocked out power to around 1,200 customers.
