ACLU Seeks Records In Voter Roll Investigation

By KRWG News

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The organization has filed a public records request with Secretary of State Dianna Duran and Gov. Susana Martinez. It's seeking all records and correspondence related to Duran's announcement this week that her office turned up possible voter fraud.

Duran's office is cross checking the state's voter rolls against a list of foreign nationals, including illegal immigrants, who hold driver's licenses.

A spokesman for the office said the ACLU's request has been received. It's being reviewed, and the office is trying to determine what information can be released while ensuring privacy protections under the Voter Registration Act.
