Admiral Mullen Visits Fort Bliss Thursday

El Paso – On Thursday, March 10, 2011 Admiral Michael Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, will travel to Fort Bliss, Texas, where he will meet with troops at the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy.

His wife, Mrs. Deborah Mullen, will hold a concurrent meeting with enlisted military spouses and Family Readiness Groups leaders at Centennial Banquet and Conference Center.

Adm. Mullen's address at the Sergeants Major Academy is open to the media. Mrs. Mullen's event is closed to press.

"We are honored to host Admiral and Mrs. Mullen during their visit to Fort Bliss and the United States Sergeants Major Academy," said Maj.
Gen. Dana J.H. Pittard, Fort Bliss Commanding General. "Their visit from the Pentagon is a testament to the exceptional service and sacrifice that our Soldiers and their Families make on a daily basis."
