AF Lab Plans Explosions At Kirtland

KRWG News – ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRWG) Several large test explosions are planned at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque.

Base officials say Monday's tests include one that will detonate 500 pounds of explosives. That test is set for noon, with tests of 300 pounds and 200 pounds following at 45 minute intervals.

The testing is being done by the Air Force Research Laboratory.

If weather delays Monday's tests, they will be conducted on Tuesday.

Residents who live near the base can expect to hear the explosions.
