Authorities say a pregnant New Mexico woman successfully gave birth to a heath baby girl after she was struck by lightning.
Kendra Villanueva was rushed to the hospital July 4th shortly following the bolt hitting her and the baby's father Ian Gordon outside their Albuquerque's home. The pair said they were watching fireworks with friends when lightning struck in the front yard.
Officials say Villanueva was just weeks from her due date.
Once Albuquerque firefighters arrived and treated the couple, officials rushed her to the University of New Mexico Medical Center where Villanueva had an emergency Cesarean section.
The couple named the baby Kimberly Samantha Rose Gordon and say they'll also call her "little Flash Gordon."
