Albuquerque police say a speeding car failed to stop at a T intersection, went over a ditch and landed on a golf course, killing three of the five people inside.
Officer Fred Duran says the other two people who were in the vehicle when it crashed early Friday morning were injured but expected to survive. Identities weren't released.
Duran says speed was "a major factor in the crash" but it wasn't immediately known whether alcohol was involved.
He says the car was northbound on Pennsylvania Street when it didn't stop or slow at the intersection with Osuna Road. The ditch and golf course are immediately north of the intersection.
