El Paso – Fort Bliss Museum officials will host the PBS program "Antiques Roadshow" Friday, June 17 for a production shoot at the Old Fort Bliss "replica" Museum.
While on location at the post, show host Mark Walberg and appraiser
Chris Mitchell will discuss how the innovative "Mississippi" rifle
dramatically changed the odds in the Mexican-American War and the
current market for the weapon.
For the first time ever El Paso is one of six stops for the Antiques
Road Show and is scheduled for the Judson F. Williams Convention Center
downtown, Saturday, June 18.
Antiques Roadshow will produce three episodes from the El Paso stop.
These programs are expected to air on KRWG-TV between January and June
2012.
