ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An Arizona man has pleaded guilty to an involuntary manslaughter charge in New Mexico involving a car crash last year.
Prosecutors say 44-year-old Jerome Dayzie of Roundrock faces up to eight years in federal prison when he's sentenced. A sentencing hearing has yet to be scheduled.
Dayzie was arrested last December on a criminal complaint.
Prosecutors say Dayzie was driving under the influence of alcohol and hit a trailer parked on the side of the road on the Navajo Nation in New Mexico's San Juan County on Dec. 9, 2017.
They say the vehicle overturned and Dayzie's passenger died.
