Armed Robbery Suspects Sought In Las Cruces

  Las Cruces Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that helps identify the two men suspected of committing an armed robbery Tuesday morning.

At around 7:20 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 24, a resident was walking from his vehicle near the 600 block of Lane when he was approached by two men who asked for loose change. The man began to hand over a few dollar bills when one of the suspects pulled out a knife and threatened the victim.

The two men took cash from the victim and then ran north through the alley that’s between Miranda Street and Melendres Street.

No injuries were reported.

The suspect armed with the knife was said to be a black male, 5-feet-9-inchecs to 6-feet tall with a slender build. He was said to have a small goatee and wore his hair in an Afro. He was described as wearing black denim skinny jeans and a black Ecko Unlimited ‘Rhino design’ hoodie.

The second suspect was said to be white male with blond, shaggy hair and blue eyes. He was said to be about 5-feet-5-inches tall and very thin, possibly weighing only around 100 pounds.
