New Mexico – SANTA FE, N.M. (KRWG) The artwork for next year's U.S. commemorative postage stamp honoring New Mexico's centennial is set to be unveiled.
United States Postal Service Santa Fe Postmaster Yasmin (YAHS'-meen) Montano is scheduled Wednesday to show the artwork at a special ceremony with Gov. Susana Martinez at the Santa Fe Plaza Gazebo.
The U.S.P.S. will commemorate the centennial of New Mexico's statehood next year with the issuance of a new "Forever" postage stamp.
Martinez will introduce the New Mexico artist responsible for creating the artwork used on the stamp. In addition, she will announce next year's official date of issuance for the new commemorative stamp.
