August 1 Meeting Regarding U.S. 54/U.S. 70 Corridor

Tularosa – The New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) will be holding a public information meeting on Thursday, August 1st at the Tularosa Community Center located at 1050 Bookout Road in Tularosa to discuss proposed roadway improvements on a section of the U.S. 54/U.S. 70 corridor between the intersections of Alamogordo Bypass Route, U.S. 82 and South Bookout Road in Otero County.   The meeting will start at 6:00 p.m.

This is the second public meeting for the project and will present a review of the project need, the alternatives developed, and the initial evaluation of these alternatives.  In addition, public comment will be solicited on driveways, median crossovers, access control, bicycle and pedestrian issues, natural and cultural resources, as well as community and business concerns.
