'Better Call Saul' To Be Filmed In Albuquerque

nmfilm.com

The New Mexico Film Office has announced that "Breaking Bad" spinoff, "Better Call Saul," will be filmed in Albuquerque.

Officials said Wednesday that the TV series will be shot in Albuquerque and the production will employ at least 75-90 New Mexico crewmembers.

Mayor Richard Berry says the city enthusiastically welcomes back Sony and AMC-TV after the popularity of "Breaking Bad."

AMC says "Better Call Saul" will premiere in November 2014 but no specific date has been released.

The series will follow sleazy attorney Saul Goodman, played by Bob Odenkirk, as he defends drug lords, petty criminals and those allegedly injured in minor traffic accident.

In "Breaking Bad," Odenkirk played the lawyer of Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston.
