Las Cruces, NM – The United States Census Bureau released a study today ranking New Mexico fourth in the nation for poverty. According to the report seventeen point two percent of residents live below the poverty line in New Mexico. Research Director for New Mexico Voices For Children, and former Economist, Gerry Bradley says it's mostly the rural areas of the state that are suffering.
