Sunland Park – A free career readiness bootcamp and job expo will be held on December 2 at the Sunland Park Center of Doña Ana Community College (DACC). The two events will assist students and residents of southern Doña Ana County to prepare for job interviews and then find employment with local employers at the job fair.
Local employers are seeking to fill positions in Southern Doña Ana County. This event will focus on preparing future employees for positions at both new and existing companies. In addition, the training will increase the available workforce within the County.
The bootcamp is produced by the DACC Job Squad which is part of the DACC Center for Career and Student Success. They will provide training on how to get job interviews, workplace do’s and don’ts, proper workplace etiquette and behaviors that will result in long-term employment and career paths. Upon completion of the bootcamp, attendees (New Mexico residents age 18 and over) will be able to submit an application to employers seeking to hire.

Community partners Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance (MVEDA), the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and New Mexico Workforce Solutions are helping sponsor the event which is open to anyone seeking employment.
Check in begins at 7:30 a.m. and the boot camp will occur from 8:30 – 11 a.m. The job expo will run from 1:30 - 5:00 p.m.
