A microchip scan on a cat that was left last week in the overnight drop-off kennels outside the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley showed its owners were from the Netherlands, but all efforts to locate them have been exhausted and shelter staff is hopeful the public might be able to help.
The cat is described as a purebloodedSphynx, a hairless variety known for its wrinkled skin. According to shelter staff, the cat is an older neutered male and has been declawed on its front paws.
