Las Cruces---Jose Nino was indicted on September 11, 2014 on (1) count of Abuse of a Child for the events that took place on July 16-July 18, 2014 which resulted in his 4 month old testing positive for methamphetamine.
While the child’s mother tested negative for drugs she stated that the defendant had lost a baggie of methamphetamine in the home and she suspected he and his brother had smoked it in the child’s presence.
Four adults, including the parents, and 2 other children resided in the home at the time.
