The City of Las Cruces and Dona Ana County are participating in a friendly competition to collect supplies for cats and dogs at the Animal Services Center of the Mesilla Valley (ASCMV) from the public and staff. The competition runs from June 1 to June 30, 2016.

Only laundered or new blankets and towels will be accepted. Comforters and sleeping bags cannot be accepted, due to the lining. Donations of food and toys for the animals also are welcomed.

“Anyone who might have old, but clean, towels and blankets, or who wants to contribute new items, has this great opportunity to drop them off at convenient locations throughout Las Cruces and Dona Ana County,” said Jamey Rickman, Council and Constituent Services Coordinator for the City of Las Cruces. “These items are a comfort to the animals during their stay at the animal shelter.”
