An issue with the City of Las Cruces’ financial software is contributing to an inability to promptly make payments to vendors. The City is working overtime hours, has hired temporary employees, and is in constant communication with the software company in order to process payments as quickly as possible and to rectify the issue.
“We are advising the community so they are aware and to assure them that we are doing everything we can to address the issue immediately and conduct a forensic analysis of new functionality within the software system to identify and resolve the issue. In the interest of transparency, I wanted to be the first to notify the community and felt we should share this challenge openly and honestly,” said City Manager Stuart C. Ed. “The City of Las Cruces thanks vendors for their patience and understanding.”
