A Clovis man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for drug trafficking.

Prosecutors say 51-year-old Adolph Padilla was convicted on three counts of trafficking controlled substances.

An undercover police informant reported in July 2012 that Padilla allegedly was selling narcotics out of a motel room.

Police executed a search warrant and say they found illegal narcotics and drug paraphernalia used for packaging and selling drugs.

Padilla was arrested and later bonded out of jail.

Prosecutors say Padilla allegedly sold methamphetamine on two separate occasions to undercover police officers in December 2012. He was arrested earlier this year.
