Clovis Man Sentenced In Meth Trafficking Case

A Clovis man has been sentenced for his role in a methamphetamine trafficking conspiracy.

A judge in Albuquerque sentenced 38-year-old Christopher Jason Kidd on Tuesday to 78 months in federal prison. He will be on supervised release for five years after serving prison time.

Kidd and three co-defendants were indicted in February 2014 on federal charges of conspiring to distribute methamphetamine in New Mexico's Curry County.

Kidd pleaded guilty in November 2014.

The three co-defendants also entered guilty pleas and remain in custody pending sentencing hearings, which have not yet been scheduled.
