Compress Road between Amador Avenue and El Molino Street will be closed to through traffic for approximately two days beginning Thursday, Feb. 20, at 7 a.m. The closure will be at the intersection of Compress and Amador and Compress and El Molino. Detours will be in place for the closure.
South bound traffic will be detoured from Compress to Amador to Melendres Street to El Molino and back to Compress. North bound traffic will be detoured from Compress to El Molino to Melendres to Amador and back to Compress Road.
Only business traffic will have access at all times. The outside east bound lane of Amador will be closed 600 feet before and through the intersection at Compress.
Smith & Aguirre Construction Company, Inc. will be completing corrective work on Compress Road as part of the El Molino phase VI Reconstruction project. The road closure will not affect any RoadRUNNER Transit routes. Motorists wanting to avoid possible delays should seek alternate routes.
