Conservation Voters New Mexico Announces Endorsements

Commentary: Conservation Voters New Mexico (CVNM), via its coordinated political action committee CVNM Action Fund (CVNMAF), continues its efforts to build a strong political voice for our air, land and water by endorsing candidates who will work for resilient New Mexico families and sustainable communities. CVNMAF has endorsed a slate of eight state House of Representatives and Public Regulation Commission candidates for the June 7, 2016 primary election.

“For CVNM, each election is an opportunity to move forward in addressing New Mexico’s legacy pollution issues and to support clean air, land and water for all of our communities,” says Ben Shelton, CVNM Political and Legislative Director. “We are pleased to endorse a slate of strong candidates who will represent and work for healthy and resilient families and sustainable communities in their districts.”

CVNM and CVNMAF engage in a thorough endorsement process and endorse candidates based on their conservation records and responses to a questionnaire on topics including environmental justice, environmental health, quality of life, energy, water, land use, transportation, wildlife and wilderness.
