Cops: Facebook App On Cell Phone Left At Burglary

Albuquerque, New Mexico – ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRWG) A New Mexico man is facing burglary charges after authorities say he broke-in an Albuquerque-area home then left behind a cell phone linked to his personal Facebook profile.

KOB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/qNbS0G) that Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputies used the Facebook app to find and arrest Oscar Martinez on Saturday. Deputies said they found the-24-year-old's cell phone at the scene of residential burglary.

According to the criminal complaint, a family interrupted the burglary when they arrived to find Martinez in their home. The complaint said Martinez fired six shots from a BB gun at the family as he fled.

He is facing a number of charges, including aggravated burglary with a deadly weapon and violation of his parole.

It was unclear if Martinez had an attorney.
