County Clerk: Calls Incorrectly Say Early Voting Is Over

Doña Ana County Clerk Lynn Ellins has issued a statement regarding misleading calls reported by many Doña Ana County residents on Saturday, Oct. 27. The calls indicated that early voting in Doña Ana County had ended. Ellins said early voting continues at seven sites in Doña Ana County through Saturday, Nov. 3, in advance of the Nov. 6 General Elections.

Early voting at the Doña Ana County Government Center is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 2, and then from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3.

Early voting at Branigan Library, Sonoma Ranch Elementary School, Hatch Community Center, the Gadsden School District Administrative Office and Anthony Elementary School is open from noon to 8 p.m. through Friday, Nov. 2, and then from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3.

“We do not know at this point who was responsible for the misleading calls, but the fact remains that early voting in Doña Ana County remains open, and turnout has been good at all seven locations,” Ellins said.
