County to Open More Polling Places For Spaceport Tax Election

Las Cruces, NM – Dona Ana County will open all one hundred and six voting precincts in the County for the upcoming special election on the quarter percent spaceport gross receipts tax. The County Commission was originally going to consolidate the election into 37 polling places, but now will have around 75. As KRWG's Evan Woodward reports, some local citizens voiced their concerns about the lack of polling places, and after a lengthy debate the Commission granted their request.
