Residents living anywhere in Doña Ana County are invited to participate in several public workshops scheduled Friday, March 1 and Saturday, March 2, 2013. The information is tabbed for use in long-term future planning throughout the county.
The Camino Real Consortium will host the workshops for Viva Doña Ana, a comprehensive project designed to address and improve several quality of life issues in Doña Ana County, including housing, transportation, economic development, healthy communities and the environment. The workshops follow a Regional Summit that was held last August, which was also part of the Viva Doña Ana regional project.
The Comprehensive Plan and the El Camino Real Corridor Management Plan will be the focus of the workshops, to be held at 10 different locations throughout the county. All input is welcome and the public is invited to share their personal perspectives on living in Doña Ana County. Attendees will be given treat bags as well as postcards with “snapshot” information on the state of the county.
