Crews Plowing Roads In Northern New Mexico

State Department of Transportation crews are plowing, salting and cindering portions of Interstates 25 and 40 and other highways in northeastern New Mexico because of snow and other winter weather conditions.

The department crews are working on highways in the Mora, Las Vegas and Raton areas but also keeping an eye on highways elsewhere.

The department reports difficult driving conditions on I-25 between Bernal and Watrous and between Tinaja and Raton Pass due to snow accumulation and light snowfall.

Fair driving conditions are reported on I-25 between Watrous and Tinaja and on I-40 between Clines Corner and Colonias.

Difficult driving conditions also are reported on U.S. 64 east of I-25 and on New Mexico 518 between Las Vegas and Mora.
