DACC Has Three Finalists For President

Educators from New Mexico, Ohio and Texas are finalists to be hired as the next president of a community college serving parts of southern New Mexico.

The finalists under consideration by the Las Cruces-based Dona Ana Community College include Andrew Burke. He is the college's vice president for business and finance and is currently its interim vice president.

The other two finalists are Renay Scott, provost at Owens Community College in Toledo, Ohio, and Lydia Tena, Northwest Campus Dean at El Paso Community College in Texas.

The three were selected from among 27 applicants.

An appointment of the new president is expected by late March.
