El Paso – An El Paso man who had been the lone survivor of a house fire that killed his wife and three grandchildren has now died of his burns.
An El Paso Fire Department statement says Luis Matos died Friday in a Lubbock hospital of burns from the Jan. 28 fire.
The man's wife, a 10-year-old granddaughter and two grandsons, ages 7 and 14, also died.
Fire investigators say the home did not have a smoke alarm.
