Deming Teen Dies After Being Hit By Car

Police in Deming say a teenager has been killed after his brother backed a car out of a driveway with the passenger door open and pinned him against a brick wall.

The Deming Headlight reports that 16-year-old Ramon Aviles was pronounced dead at a hospital after the Wednesday afternoon accident.

Police Chief Michael Carillo told the Headlight that officers found Aviles trapped with part of the brick wall collapsed onto him.

Carillo says 24-year-old Joseph Dominguez was backing the Cadillac out of the driveway when Aviles was trapped between the open door and the wall. When Dominquez tried to free his brother the car continued backing up and hit and collapsed part of the wall onto him.
