Domestic Partnership Bill Fails in the Senate

Santa Fe, NM – Supporters of domestic partnerships in New Mexico have been handed another loss. A bill that would extend to domestic partners, gay or straight, many of the same rights and responsibilities married couples have, was only briefly debated in the state Senate Thursday and then, once again, killed. But as KUNM's Jim Williams reports, one Senator says he may try to bring the bill back for another vote.
