Dona Ana County District Attorney Announces Initiative To Improve Child Well Being

Dona Ana County District Attorney Mark D’Antonio announced this week his initiative for establishing a multi-agency/ legislative task force to collaborate and implement ways to improve child well-being standards.  The announcement came in light of New Mexico ranking last in the nation for overall child well-being. 
 
“I believe what is required is a proactive, unified strategic
plan formulated and supported by the county leadership.
I am well aware of the inherent difficulties in building a
consensus regarding operation strategy, but I am confident
that all will agree the stakes could not be higher” said D’Antonio.
 
D’Antonio has begun to reach out to respective agency heads and elected officials in order to begin talks for this initiative. His office states that making sure the children in our community have the best start in life is the most proactive approach to law enforcement.
