Downtown Events Set For Las Cruces

  •   Farmers and Crafts Market:

o   February 3 & 6th, 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Museums and Cultural Center:

o   Branigan Cultural Center – For the Love of Art Month Member Exhibit and Reflections from the Myrna Colley-Lee Collection. Opens Friday February 5 and will be on display through March 19, 5 – 7 p.m.
o   Branigan Cultural Center – Presents “Visionarias”, a collection of images from the female empowerment project in the Sacred Valley of Peru – Thru Feb. 27.

o   Museum of Art presents “Graphicanos: Contemporary Latino Prints from the Serie Project” during the Downtown Ramble. Feb. 5, 5 – 7 p.m. through Sat. April 2.

o   Museum of Nature & Science – Grandma Mona’s Story Time – Feb. 4 at 9 a.m. First Thursday of the month Grandma Mona comes to read a story related to one of the many exhibits in the museum.

o   Museum of Nature & Science – Family Science Saturday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m., Isaac Newton & his laws; learn about scientists & experiments, for all ages.

o   Museum of Nature & Science – Science & Art are a SNAP- Feb. 6 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. will present “Evergreen Plants” for all children and their families.

o   Las Cruces Railroad Museum – Join Mrs. Prickett and her delightful puppets as they read books and tell stories to engage children of all ages. Meet the whole gang at 11 a.m. the 2nd Thursday of the each month.

o   Las Cruces Railroad Museum – Family Game Day, Saturday of every month between 10 a.m. and noon.

  • Branigan Library

o   Teen Game Night – Every Tuesday, for ages 12-18.
o   Toddler Time –Wednesday & Thursday at 10 a.m. story time for ages 3 and up.

o   Read to me - Every Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. story time for ages 1-3.

o   Mother Goose Time – Every Wednesday at 11 a.m. Activities for infants & their adults.

o   Rhythm Round Up – Fridays at 10:30 a.m. – music & motion for ages  6-10.

o   Team Anime – Every Saturday at 1 p.m. Watch an hour of anime and do a manga or other Japanese related activity for ages 12-18.

o   Library Lab – Friday’s at 3:30 p.m.; activities and stories for ages 6-10.

o   Dona Ana County Genealogical Society Meeting – 2ndWednesday of every month at 2 p.m. in the Roadrunner Room
