Drive-By Shooting In Las Cruces-No Injuries

By KRWG News

Las Cruces – Friday morning at approximately 11:00 a.m. the owner of a residence located in the 5000 block of Ortega Road, Las Cruces, discovered what appeared to be a bullet hole in a window of a bedroom there at the residence.

Besides the shattered window, the owner soon discovered what appeared to be six bullet holes running the length of the residence.

Sheriff's Deputies were called to the scene and found lying on the roadway in front of the residence, fourteen (14) shell casings of the same caliber, directly in front of the residence.

The owner reported to Sheriff's Investigators that earlier this morning at approximately 4:50 a.m., he heard what sounded like gunfire, but thought nothing of it at the time, thinking that someone was shooting at another residence nearby and went back to sleep.

No one was injured as a result of the shooting.

Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to contact Domestic Violence Investigator Bo Nevarez at 575.525.1911. All calls will remain anonymous.
