Early voting for school board vacancies in the Las Cruces, Hatch and Gadsden school districts will begin Friday, Jan. 11, according to Doña Ana County Clerk Lynn Ellins.
All ballots cast during early voting must be done in person at the Doña Ana County Government Center at 845 N. Motel Boulevard Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Absentee ballots will also be mailed out on Friday for any Doña Ana County resident who has applied for one.
Early voting ends on Friday, Feb. 1, which is also the last day to apply for an absentee ballot.
Ellins suggests absentee voters not wait until the last minute to apply, as ballots may not arrive in your mailbox in enough time for them to be returned to the Doña Ana County Bureau of Elections by Election Day, Feb. 5, 2013.
