El Paso – A soldier from West Texas is among three killed in a bombing in Iraq.
The Defense Department says 30-year-old Sgt. Omar Aceves of El Paso died Wednesday.
The attack also killed 20-year-old Spc. Jarrid L. King of Erie, Pa., and 23-year-old Pfc. Benjamin G. Moore of Robbinsville, N.J.
DOD on Thursday said the soldiers died of wounds suffered during an improvised bombing in the Ghazni province.
All three were assigned to the 7th Engineer Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade, 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, N.Y.
