Culture Series: Cowboy Music and Storytelling by Steve Cormier

Cowboy music is the Western version of the human condition, according to Steve Cormier. His music is mainly old and traditional cowboy fare and reflects his nine years as a ranch and farm hand. Teaching college history for 22 years also has influenced his music. Along the way, he has played roles in film and television. Admission is free.

Jan. 19, 5:30-8 p.m.

The beautiful photography of farming in the Mesilla Valley is featured in this spectacular exhibit. The opening reception on Jan. 12 is free and will include refreshments. Jay Hill's life as a farmer took on an artistic side when he began taking pictures in 2012. Since then, his dramatic photographs have captured the beauty of modern farming in the Las Cruces area.
