Ex-Gov Expected To Announce '12 Presidential Bid

KRWG News – CONCORD, N.H. (KRWG) Former New Mexico Gov. Gary Johnson is expected to announce his presidential campaign in New Hampshire a few days before heading to the tallest mountain in the Northeast for some spring skiing.

Johnson, a Republican who served as governor from 1995 through 2003, is expected to announce his campaign on the Statehouse steps Thursday morning. On Saturday, he plans to ski Tuckerman Ravine on New Hampshire's Mount Washington, which attracts thrill-seekers each spring with snow depths of up to 75 feet.

Since forming an advocacy group in late 2009, Johnson has been traveling extensively, speaking about the national debt, marijuana legalization, immigration reform and the country's involvement in Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya.
