Las Cruces, NM – In the late 1960s, Mark Rudd led a group of students called "The Weathermen" in an effort to get the U.S. government's attention over the war in Vietnam. Rudd's group advocated the use of violence, saying peaceful approaches were no longer working. In this first part of an interview with Bob Mitchell, Rudd renounces violence and discusses the impact of the Black Panthers and Cuban revolution on The Weathermen.
