A local photographer is using his camera lens to capture the beauty of New Mexico.  The artist is also bringing a new perspective to the clouds we see all over the Land of Enchantment.

Michael Gutierrez is always on the move.

“There are no limits for what I do anyway,” he said.

He spends much of his time outdoors, chasing clouds and sharing New Mexico's natural beauty.

“Las Cruces, especially I have to say its one of the most beautiful places, problem one of these most places I’ve ever lived and it seems like everything, it’s still wild, still has this wild feeling this massive sky that is just amazing beautiful,” she said.

Gutierrez is working on a project that brings the sky to life.

“I feel it’s my obligation as an artist to share these stories; to share and let people know we’re not alone.  Together, we have all these issues, some good, some bad but we address them and actually we’re not alone,” he said.

Gutierrez says his imprint series is his love letter to the people of New Mexico, a project he's been working on for quite some time.

“It’s a collaboration of a year’s project shooting these sky energies and these formation and sharing the beauty with all the people in New Mexico, all the people in the state and the world,” said Gutierrez.

Much of his work will be on display through the month of April when the doors to his open studio welcome in art lovers of all kinds.

"This is my home and studio. I have my inner work area where I do my experiments.  The ultimate goal is to be self-sufficient from start to finish,” said Gutierrez.
