Extras Sought In Las Cruces For Filming This Week

 

   The movie ‘Captain Fantastic” is coming to Las Cruces August 18, to begin filming several scenes in the area. According to Erin O’Shaughnessy with the casting office, the production team is looking for several types of local actors for extras and background work. They include:

Background actors: Ages 30 - 60 with high end cars. No flashy, bright or red colors. Prefer grey, dark green, browns, dark blue. Please send pictures of car along with photos of yourself in upscale funeral attire (wear black or dark colors). You will be cast from photos, so make sure they are current.

Stand-ins: Female and male with stand-in experience. Females, Caucasian,

5’4-5’6. Males, Caucasian, 6’0-6’2. Please submit photos and stand in experience.

Police Officer: Male, 30-40s. Looking for all ethnicities. Physically fit. 

Golfers: Female and male, 30s-50s, any ethnicity. Dressed in current golf attire.

Captain Fantastic stars Academy Award winning Best Actor Nominee Viggo Mortensen as an idealistic father of six who tries to assimilate back into society after living ‘off the grid’ in the forests of the Pacific Northwest for ten years. Starring opposite Mortensen will be three time Tony Award winner and Academy Award Nominee Frank Langella. The film, written and directed by Matt Ross, is being produced by ShivHans Pictures and Electric City Entertainment.
