Las Cruces – Dona Ana County Sheriff's investigators responded to a call in the 2000 block of Acosta in Anthony just after midnight Sunday, in which a man had been fatally stabbed.
Initial reports indicate there was an argument between two men before Anthony resident Marcos Tucker, 30, was stabbed with a knife. Emergency crews transported Tucker to an El Paso-area hospital, where he later died.
Dona Ana County Sheriff's investigators have charged Manuel "Manny" Ortega, 29, with an open count of murder and tampering with evidence after Ortega allegedly stabbed Tucker, his roommate, with a knife. Ortega has been booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center.
