Film Re-Released For 25th Anniversary Of Las Cruces Bowling Alley Massacre

This month marks the 25th anniversary of a mass murder at a Las Cruces bowling alley.  And a documentary about the crime is being re-released with additional footage.

Charlie Minn’s 2011 film “A Nightmare in Las Cruces” chronicles the events surrounding the 1990 Las Cruces bowling alley massacre where two gunmen killed four people and injured three.

Despite sizable rewards and detailed sketches of the suspects being released almost immediately after the massacre, the case remains unsolved. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the killings.

The 2015 version of “A Nightmare in Las Cruces” includes about a half-hour of additional footage.  Minn says he hopes the re-release of the film might help generate leads in the case.

“A Nightmare in Las Cruces Part 2” opens February 10th at Mesilla Valley Mall in Las Cruces and at Bassett Place Mall in El Paso.
