Final Set Of Las Cruces Surveys Mailed

The second of two mailings of the first-ever City of Las Cruces citizen survey went out today, December 5. The surveys are randomly mailed to 1,200 Las Cruces households. Targeted households were notified of the survey by postcard the week of November 19th.

Residents who receive the survey are asked to complete it and return it in the postage paid envelope. Survey respondents are confidential and the information provided will assist Las Cruces city government in planning for the future.

All responses are due by January 2, 2013. The data will be compiled and presented to the Las Cruces City Council.

Questions include how respondents would rate Las Cruces as a place to live, raise children, work and retire. Other topics include public safety, employment and housing opportunities.

To get a representative sample of Las Cruces residents, the adult, anyone 18 years or older in the household who most recently had a birthday, should complete the survey. Year of birth of the adult does not matter.
